The full extension drawer slides were of good quality, though required a little finesse to put them together on the microwave cabinet. The speed of delivery was quick and efficient. I was able to mount an apron sink on a sink base cabinet, but it required some modification. The face frames were nice quality with a good fit and finish. I felt the quality of the overall cabinets was better than that of a big box store. they use BLUM slides, everything about them is nicer, and my sales rep Brian was very knowledgeable and great.Again, thanks for all the help with my cabinets. I ordered mine with solid maple doors, drawers and face frames for mine. Get a quote from the cabinet joint if you have the time.

the dovetail joints are horrendous, they use cheap slides and I also noticed a lot of their cabinets have cracked paint at the miter joints and many of the seam lines that don’t hide well. Im not sure I would do lily Ann, I looked at their showroom in Nashville and for the price they’re garbage IMO. Does anyone have experience/advice either way?

The more reading I do, the more I'm leaning towards the engineered doors as they will not crack at the joints when painted, like the solid wood doors are known to do. The major difference being that J&K sells solid wood doors and Lily Ann sells "manufactured" aka MDF doors. Getting closer to order and it looks like we have it narrowed down to J&K cabinets and Lily Ann. The ones I purchased are stained, I chose the Charleston cherry from their website.īringing this back real quick. One other thing is that some of the other bad reviews even of other companies were ones with painted cabinets such as white. But like I said in my research there were good and bad for all companies, even ones ordered from other named brand companies. I understand your apprehension, I felt and do feel the same way. The reason I went with this company was because it was local to me. However it sounds like some of the other GJ members that have posted had good experiences with other companies also. But as soon as I receive them I will post my opinion of them. Once they are ready to ship, then you have to receive them, they have no way to have the freight company hold them. If they were coming by freight there is no way they would be able to hold them. (These are going into a basement that we had to build out, due to a lot of issues.) But I only live 1 hour from them, so they will be delivering them personally, they will not be coming by freight. However, they may have to hold them for me because my contractor may not be ready. Good luck with your search and report back on what you decided. I really did not need on because I am just filling a blank wall. Overall though they are going to tell you upfront you need a kitchen designer.

On Fridays between 2 pm and 4pm you can talk with them for free and they can help you decide what to purchase. But if you are in the Philadelphia area, Philadelphia Mainline Cabinets is an excellent website to learn about cabinets overall. You don't have mentioned where you are from. A lot of builders use these type of cabinets as well. You can look online at reviews, Google RTA cabinet reviews and you can see the good and bad. But what the heck, they are going to be shipped from any other regular place I chose anyway. I was worried about having the cabinets shipped and problems during shipping. I thought initially it would be better to go with a local company, and yes I like to shop locally.

I have been researching this for the past month. Another website is RTA The RTA Store, that is a different website. Lily Ann cabinets you can work with a designer for free as well as some of the other websites. Faircrest you have to find a dealer, but you can look at their website. I am getting 10 cabinets 36 inch wide for $2800. I am not spending $10 grand on cabinets either. I compared them to Kraftmaid and Schrock. But the videos online are very good, and they are easy to do. They will assemble them if you don't want to do it yourself. For both of the ones I mentioned, they are 1/2 inch plywood boxes, shelves and doors. Faircrest Cabinets are another very good line. I have to redo my basement and am purchasing RTA cabinets from Lily Ann.
